Op Art porcelain vase, manufactured in Bavaria, Germany in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. With its double-bulls eye to front and back, the vase makes an exciting contrast between round and rectangular elements – typical of Op Art form.
These vases were produced in a variety of colour mixes. The red/black variation is probably the most prolific of the colorways and most commonly associated with this vase.
It’s nice to find this iconic vase in a rarer colorway: the pink-gold-magenta variation. It’s fabulously retro – a real period piece!
This very mod vase is marked at the base with the Plankenhammer Floss ceramic mark.
